BusinessCode brings processes of a law firm securely into the cloud

The BusinessCode team has successfully implemented another SME project with the law firm Dr. Schulte-Beckhausen & Bühs Rechtsanwälte.

The BusinessCode team has successfully implemented another SME project. Together with our client, Dr. Schulte-Beckhausen & Bühs Rechtsanwälte, a law firm in the insolvency sector, we developed a cloud-based application to optimise the processes in the law firm.

The classic processes involved in legal work are also becoming increasingly digital. As part of a client project, we migrated the administration of insolvency proceedings to a modern, cloud-based platform and ensured that the processes have become leaner and that communication with the courts is possible at the touch of a button.

How did we do this?

We talked intensively with the client and their staff, questioned the processes, and thought together about what needed to be done, in what order and with which result. This is how we always work, because the solution must accompany the client and not the other way round. And so, we succeeded in replacing the almost 20-year-old application with the new solution “Jurex”.

Our result is called Jurex

Jurex runs in the cloud and contains all the important key features that are crucial for the day-to-day operations of the law firm. The management of claims from insolvency proceedings, quota calculation, distribution as well as a SEPA interface support the daily business in the law firm. Insolvency proceedings are created in the system and assigned to the respective court with a file number. The entire process has been simplified, according to our client’s feedback. Particularly important is the interface to the courts, to which Jurex provides the necessary data electronically via an interface.

And for the daily work

The numerous functionalities have not been at the expense of a clear and user-friendly interface. Thus, the new online application was very positively received by experienced clerks and lawyers in the test.

Digitisation 2.0 – integration of further process participants

In the future, there is to be a publicly accessible page that will offer procedural creditors the possibility to view the status of their claims online. The other possible features of the planned public page are still being worked out.

The goal: In addition to the law firm, outsiders such as litigation creditors will then also be able to access “Jurex” to view the status of their claim directly online.
