Bonn, July 1, 2025 – Two Bonn-based IT companies are collaborating to integrate software security efficiently and practically into development processes. BusinessCode GmbH and L3montree Cybersecurity GmbH are joining forces in the development of DevGuard, a modern open-source solution for secure software development. While L3montree is responsible for the development of the tool, BusinessCode, an established IT service provider, contributes its extensive practical experience to testing and optimization.
With DevGuard, both partners share a common goal: to provide software developers with a tool that automates security checks while seamlessly integrating into existing processes. This will help identify security vulnerabilities early, prioritize weaknesses effectively, and ensure compliance requirements are met directly within the development process. BusinessCode is already testing DevGuard in internal projects, providing continuous feedback from everyday use. Real-world requirements are directly fed into the ongoing development of the solution.
“Security is a central theme in all our projects. With DevGuard, we can efficiently integrate security checks into our development processes while ensuring that our solutions continue to meet the highest quality standards,” says Harald Wagener, Partner and IT Project Manager in global client projects.
Frédéric Noppe from L3montree highlights the benefits of the partnership: “Through close cooperation with BusinessCode, we receive valuable feedback directly from the developer’s perspective. This helps us tailor DevGuard to the needs of software teams.”
For Martin Böhne, Cluster Manager of the Cyber Security Cluster Bonn, the collaboration is another strong signal for the region: “The partnership between BusinessCode and L3montree showcases the strength of the cybersecurity ecosystem in Bonn. Innovative solutions with direct practical relevance are being created through cooperation here.” Sven Wittich, Managing Director of the Digital Hub Bonn, sees the partnership as a prime example of successful regional innovation promotion: “The collaboration shows how startups and established SMEs can drive innovation together and make digitalization safer.”“
BusinessCode brings over 20 years of software development experience to the partnership and plans to gradually implement DevGuard in further customer projects. For L3montree, the collaboration presents an opportunity to make DevGuard even more practical and efficient. Together, the two companies are making a significant contribution to digital sovereignty and strengthening cybersecurity expertise in the Bonn region.
