On April 26, 2023, BusinessCode, together with the BVMW, invited guests to the Siegburg City Museum. There, concrete answers regarding funding programs for digitalization were provided.

More than 40 guests accepted the invitation from Dagmar Mayer of the BVMW, who, together with the economic development office of the city of Siegburg, Mr. Ole Erdmann, and BusinessCode, had invited to the Siegburg City Museum. The evening was hosted by Dr. Christine Lötters from the Bonn PR and communications agency SC Lötters.

The three topics in the event title were conveyed in a varied manner. After Stefan Maier from Prior1 GmbH opened the evening with the topic “Sustainable Entrepreneurship in a Competitive Market,” BusinessCode CEO Martin Schulze advocated for “Digitalization in Medium-Sized Businesses.” His message was clear: software is indispensable, which he illustrated with an excursion into the automotive industry: “More than 30% of the value of a car today consists of software.”

Following this, Martin Schulze and our client, insolvency administrator Dr. Andreas Schulte-Beckhausen, spoke about the digitalization of the law firm Dr. Schulte-Beckhausen & Bühs. It was no easy task to digitally map the processes of insolvency law and to transfer the workflows in the firm to the cloud. Thanks to the trusting and close collaboration between the project manager on the BusinessCode side and the responsible persons and employees in the firm, this was ultimately achieved. The result is called “Jurex” and is impressive, as Dr. Schulte-Beckhausen emphasized several times. The employee of the evening was Eugen Plischke, who was in charge of the project.

Afterwards, Christian Pinnekamp from the IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg took the guests on a journey through current funding programs for digitalization projects under the topic “Funding Consultation.” Thus, the foundation was laid that evening for further cooperation between BusinessCode and the IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg on the topic of digitalization in medium-sized businesses: first the idea of which digitalization projects are pending in the company, then targeted funding advice, and finally implementation. There will be further events and information on this in the future.

The evening concluded with personal exchanges over finger food and drinks.
