Inside BusinessCode: Mahmoud Mohamed

My name is Mahmoud Mohamed, I am 21 years old. I am originally from Giza in Egypt (yes, the region with the pyramids) and I am studying Software Engineering at the University of Duisburg Essen.

I simply submitted my application for the position at BusinessCode through the job portal Stepstone. I have now been part of the team for two months, working as a full-stack developer.

Despite receiving several offers from other companies, I chose the position at BusinessCode because the company offers me the best career prospects in the industry. From the specific technologies to large projects, the company provides the best opportunities for me to expand my knowledge and skills and to be successful in my profession. The flat hierarchical structures allow me to learn from the best experts.

I can say that my career is going great so far. I work closely with my colleagues Roman and Eugen. They and the company prepare me in the best possible way to lead my own projects in the future. Hopefully, my work will soon have a positive impact on BusinessCode’s success.

My workday routine depends on whether I am working from home or in the office in Bonn. For me personally, it is important to be in the office from time to time because the work environment is incomparable and has a positive effect on my performance. A typical workday usually starts with a meeting in which I discuss my completed tasks with an expert from the company. Often, I am then introduced to additional technologies, for which I then work on tasks. This way, I can increase my knowledge and develop my skills day by day.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but since joining BusinessCode, I enjoy working on frontend development. I was always more of a backend fan, but after everything I have learned at BusinessCode, I can now say that I am a frontend fan.

To be successful, it takes not only sophisticated knowledge and outstanding skills. At BusinessCode, your attitude and willingness to learn something new every day are especially important.

Thanks to my colleagues, I already feel like part of the BusinessCode family after my short time on the team. In five years, I want to be an important part of the company structure and lead my own projects. It is a dream of mine to one day be a mentor for students, just as the experts here are for me now.
