Inside BusinessCode: Benedikt Geilenkeuser

2 min BusinessCode Team

My name is Benedikt Geilenkeuser (25), and I am new to the team at BusinessCode as a developer.

After completing my studies in computer science at the University of Saarbrücken, I joined BusinessCode directly. During my studies, I focused primarily on theoretical concepts and research, particularly the analysis and development of algorithms.

The in-depth knowledge I gained from my studies forms the foundation.

I am from Bonn, so it was clear that I wanted to return to the Rhineland with my master’s degree and preferably to Bonn. What drew me to BusinessCode were the interesting projects and the international customer base. Since early June, I have been working as a developer on an existing BusinessCode project in the logistics sector. The long-standing customer is internationally established. Currently, we are further developing the existing solution, and I can apply my analytical understanding and ability to immerse myself in complex tasks. The customer wants to know more precisely where their freight is at which transshipment points, how long it takes, and if it is delayed, so they can act and plan better in the future. This requires mathematical algorithms and approaches.

Sympathetic colleagues integrate me directly into the team.

My start at BusinessCode was very appreciative. As a researcher, the transition to practical application is not easy; I need to familiarize myself with economic processes. My colleagues help me with this, integrating me into the team from day one. All colleagues are friendly and make me feel welcome. The interpersonal aspect is highly valued at BusinessCode, and there is lively exchange among colleagues beyond work.

Short distances – always up to date.

Since I sit in an office with the team, I get a lot of information about the project. I also participate in digital meetings with the customer, which helps me better understand their requirements and the practical use of our software. It is very exciting to work on topics that will have an immediate impact on processes and the work of many people.

I am pleased to be part of the team at BusinessCode.
