BusinessCoDe and the Deutsche Post World Net 


At the beginning of BusinessMirror with all its linked solutions, an enormous task had to be faced. After launching its strategy to become the leading world-wide logistic enterprise, the Deutsche Post World Net partnered with top logistic companies. At the end of the 90ies, it began to develop its own European network. Although there were a lot of different internal processes going on, consistent measurement became necessary in order to allow successful integration while taking advantage of synergies.


Key questions? – BusinessMirror is the answer


Within this changing business environment we developed BusinessMirror in order to meet the requirements described. With BusinessMirror as a core round-trip-engineering component we developed an indicator-based Quality Management System for European express products. Basic performance figures were needed, such as delivery quality and process compatibility for the various process partners in the network. The integrated network could soon be measured consistently and performance could be increased. Afterwards, the business processes of the partners were further integrated in short cycles. BusinessMirror provides a measurement logic that is always kept up to date.


Deutsche Post World Net

One overall solution for all future express products


In 2003, the DANZAS express products were integrated into the measurement system and the system was migrated successfully onto the central data warehouse (Teradata). After only one month of analysis and development, the most important KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) could already be used for calculations.

Since the end of 2004 an overall solution for a consistent integration of all express products has being developed, including root cause analysis and an integrated corrective action management – which is an important integration factor. The amount of data that has to be processed comes to about 100 million deliveries and respectively 1 billion track events per month – representing about 5 % of the transnational world trade market.
